BRITAIN’S Got Talent host Dec Donnelly hosted his first semi-final without Ant McPartlin.
Britain’s Got Talent 2018 viewers have rallied to support Declan Donnelly during his first ever live semi-finals without his co-host and best pal Ant McPartlin.
Yet before the show began and his solo hosting duties, Dec revealed that he needed some moral support, which was provided by his loyal dog.
Dec took to the shared Ant and Dec Instagram ahead of the live launch, sharing a sweet post about his first solo presenting stint since Saturday Night Takeaway.
Dec posted to his 2.6 million followers: “Rocky has come to keep me company and show moral support as I’ll be on my own tonight, although I’m getting the feeling he’s not as excited about the start of the @bgtsemi finals as I am!”
The Geordie star was seen posing along side his sleepy dog in the photo, ready to tackle the live shows.
And the presenter’s fans were quick to show their support, with one person writing: “Aw!! You’re doing amazing Dec!!”
A second person commented: “Pro as always Dec!”, while a third fan commenting: “You’re doing great….. Was never in doubt x.”
Ant and Dec were recently spotted together for the first time in weeks.
The best pals were seen enjoying a catch-up in London, their first picture together in two months – and it appeared Ant was also sporting a new tattoo on his wrist.
A loyal fan posted a picture alongside the duo after meeting them in the capital, telling The Mirror the pair were “lovely guys” and had no problem posing for photos
Ant pleaded guilty to a drink-driving offence in April, and has been in rehab having intensive treatment following the incident. He is reportedly continuing his treatment at home.
A source later told the Sunday Mirror that Ant is in a “much better place” as he continues his treatment, but will only return to work when he is ready.
